I'm Steph. 19. American/British dual-citizenship. Connecticut. Bisexual. Gryffinpuff. I am a writer and would love nothing more than to become a novelist. I love Harry Potter, Star Trek, The Avengers, Doctor Who, Merlin, Supernatural, Sherlock, and everything Disney. I believe in imagining things and creating fantastical worlds and amazing places and making them real to yourselves. I believe in time travel, and magic, and fairies, and dragons because if you imagine it you can make it real. Shannon Emily Kathryn They are my best friends and I love them more than you. Basically I'm pretty much the coolest dork you'll ever meet. I BELIEVE IN SHERLOCK HOLMES. MORIARTY WAS REAL.

omg this is ridiculous

he doesn’t own Sherlock

I hope this producer’s name is Arthur Conan Doyle, because otherwise I don’t understand his legal reasoning.

While the idea of a U.S. version sort of makes me want to vomit, this is ridiculous and holds no legal ground. Certainly it would if this BBC producer created the characters but Sherlock Holmes, John Watson, James Moriarty and the like were created by Arthur Conan Doyle. If you’re already using someone else’s characters, some of the most famous characters in history ever I might add, you can’t keep other people from using them.
